New head appointed to Baku state road police department

Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov's order approved Nushiravan Safarov as the new head Baku State Road Police Department, Police Department's Spokesman Jamshid Hanifeyev said today.

Safarov is expected to be presented to the State Road Police Department's staff in the near future, he said.

Previously, Safarov headed the Interior Ministry's Chief Road Police Department's traffic-patrol police service.

In his new post, Safarov will replace Hasan Shirinov.
