Nowruz holiday related events to be held in Ganja city of Azerbaijan

Starting from this week, a number of events on the occasion of Nowruz will start in Ganja, the head of Ganja city Culture and Tourism Department, Mina Malikova said.

According to her, the events will start with cleanness measures. Every institution and department should put its office in order, plant flowers and trees in its garden. Then the Nowruz festivity will be held within the organization.

The main square of the city will host a Novruz festivity on March 17. Like every year, it is considered to make a fire. Young sportsmen, dance ensembles will perform, as well as folk national games will be demonstrated. A big pakhlava will be made, like every year and distributed to the city residents. The length of this pakhlava will be 15 metres.
