Azerbaijani President issues order on rewarding veterans of Great Patriotic War from Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued Executive Order on rewarding with the anniversary medal “65 Years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) of the participants from the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

The Executive Order, in particular, underlines: “Considering heroism and the selflessness demonstrated on the front line and in back areas in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 of the participants from Azerbaijan, and according to the decision of the Council of Heads of the CIS states, dated October 10, 2008, “On common anniversary medal “65 Years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, the veterans of the Great Patriotic War from Azerbaijan shall be rewarded with jubilee medals.”

Cabinet of Ministers is tasked to prepare the list of the veterans and submit to the President.
