New candidates for Ombudsman's office announced in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) has received a new bill on new Ombudsman of the country, ted to the parliament, sources in Milli Majlis said.
According to the bill, three candidates have been nominated for the post of Ombudsman.

One of them is incumbent Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova.

Another is Chief of Justice Ministry’s Human Rights and Public Affairs Department Faig Gurbanov.

The third candidate is Teymur Malikaslanov, representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Azerbaijan.

The issue will be brought up for discussion at the next session of the parliament.
