Georgia plans to send its sappers to Azerbaijan for training

Georgian Defense Ministry plans to send some sapper groups to Azerbaijan for training and professional development, General Headquarters of Georgian Armed Forces said.

The ministry spokesman informed that a number of sapper officers had visited Azerbaijan in 2009.

The Azerbaijani specialists hosted internships on humanitarian mine clearing, neutralizing of the unexploded ammunition, and application of the modern technologies for them.

ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) conducts the trainings for Georgian sappers.
