First Azerbaijan-Russia Forum on Humanitarian Cooperation to start in Baku

The Russian delegation that will attend the 1stAzerbaijan-Russia Forum on Humanitarian Cooperation on January 22-23 will arrive in Baku on Jan. 21.
The delegation includes head of Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Narishkin, Culture Minister of Russia Alexander Avdeev, Russian President’s Special Representative for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, head of the protocol service of Russian President Vladimir Shevchenko and other officials, artists of Moscow Bolshoi Theater and heads of Russian mass media and journalists.

On Jan. 22, prior to the official opening of the forum the delegation will visit Heydar Aliyev’s grave in the Alley of Honors and Martyrs’ Lane.

Following this, the solemn opening ceremony of the forum and the first plenary meeting will be held in the International Mugham Center with the participation of Azerbaijani officials.

After the meeting, meetings on various sections will be held within the framework of the forum.

On Jan. 23, the Russian delegation will visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Baku branch of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov.

ITAR-TASS will present a photo exhibition “Russia-Azerbaijan: from the past towards the future” within the framework of the forum.
