The cemetery in the occupied Gizilhajili village of Azerbaijan's Gazakh region has been destroyed by Armenians, deputy chief of Gazakh region police office Adalat Sadigov said.

He said though the village is under occupation, the cemetery has not been occupied.
"The residents of the village bury their relatives there. On the night of Jan. 7-8, the cemetery was destroyed by unknown persons, the tombstones of over 30 graves were broken,” he said.
Sadigov said they did not doubt that the vandalism had been committed by Armenians.
He added that the fact was being investigated.
“We are investigating what has happened in the occupied Gizilhajili village. After the investigations we will say what happened in the village cemetery and who did it,” head of Gazakh region executive power Rauf Huseynov said.
Gizilhajili village was occupied by Armenian Armed Forces on May 11, 1992.
