A total of 80 judge nominees have passed long-term educational training organized by the Turkey’s Justice Academy before taking posts of judges in Azerbaijan, Legal-Court Council said.
Azerbaijan attaches special attention to the Turkey’s experience in the field of administrative justice because of plans to establish administrative courts in the country this year.
The judge nominees passed trainings on implementation of European Convention on Human Rights and European Court precedents, judge’s professional ethics, use of new information and communication technologies in the courts.
The judge nominees visited the Turkish Parliament, Presidential Administration, Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, General Prosecutor’s Office, as well as different courts to attend different workshops there and met with the chairman of the Turkish Supreme Court Hasan Gercheker.
