Azerbaijan's Education Ministry says diplomas of 474 students educated abroad are invalid

As many as 2,964 people graduated from different foreign universities appealed the Education Ministry of Azerbaijan for recognition of their diplomas in the past five years, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov said.

A total of 2,037 diplomas were certified and 474 diplomas were rejected by the ministry’s experts as illegal diplomas.

Some 453 diplomas are still examined by the relevant department of the Education Ministry.

A total of 1,999 of applicants graduated from CIS universities, 776 – from universities of Turkey and 189 – from the U.S., European, Asian and Arab universities.
