Pardon Commission under Azerbaijani President convenes

The commission will hold four to five meetings will be held by the end of December.

The first meeting was held on Dec. 8.

The commission members gave information about the presented applications.

The next meeting will be held this week.

The problem of the imprisoned journalists has not been discussed yet.

The recent pardon decree was issued in Azerbaijan on Aug. 26, 2008.

That pardon decree was applied to 96 prisoners.
