Monument to Azerbaijanis in Ukraine to be restored

Sevastopol city authorities promised to restore the monument erected in honor of memory of the Azerbaijani soldiers who fell victim for the liberation of Crimea from the fascists at the Great Patriotic War.
Chief of the city administration Sergei Kunitsin said those who committed vandalism against the monument were detained.

“Those who stole the metallic parts of the monument were arrested. Unfortunately it is impossible to restore fragments of the monument. We will have them made again. It is honor for us to restore the monument erected in memory of Azerbaijani 77th rifle division that participated in the battles for Crimea”.
