No African swine fever in Azerbaijan: state veterinary service

The State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry noted the absence of the African swine fever in Azerbaijan.
"To preserve the stability, the service continues to conduct the necessary activities with the relevant bodies," the service reported.

According to the International Epizootic Office, the African swine fever was revealed among the wild pigs in the "Caracol" hunting farm in the Tarumovski District of the Russia's Dagestan Republic.

African swine fever is highly viral disease of swine, characterized by fever, cyanosis of the skin and extensive hemorrhages in internal organs.

It belongs to A list according to the international classification of infectious diseases of animals. The African swine fever does not represent danger for people.
