Presidium of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) discussed the establishment of memorial on the mass grave in Guba to immortalize memory of the victims of genocide committed by Armenians in 1918.

ANAS first vise president Naila Valikhanli said a glass museum to be established on the mass grave had great importance to make future generations aware of the tragedy.
She said construction of the genocide museum would be started soon. The well where bones were found will be surrounded with glasses and oval mirror will make inside visible from above and profile.
Head of Guba mass grave researching group Gahraman Aghayev called to take immediate measures for prevention of ground waters and security of bones. He said more than 400 human skulls were found in the grave and the people were killed cruelly with blunt tools.
Deputy chief of the Guba executive power Yusif Abidov said they took comprehensive measures to establish glass museum on the grave and illegally-built public facility in that territory was already removed and road lead to the mass grave territory was coated with asphalt.
Abidov said genocide memorial would be built in the highest area of Guba and would be seen from all sides.
