Community of Meskhetian Turks entitled ‘Vatan’ (‘Homeland’) will suspend activities in Azerbaijan next year, head of the community Ibrahim Burhanov said.

He said about 10,000 Meskhetian Turks in Azerbaijan have began returning to their native lands in Georgia upon the decision of the Georgian government.
“Therefore, the community will suspend activities as we have finished our mission,” he added.
Burhanov said he will leave Azerbaijan in May 2010 and continue his activities in Georgia.
