Rise in number of those receiving presidential scholarship in Azerbaijan

Total of 3,268 people were awarded presidential scholarship over the last six months of 2009 in an effort to improve well-being of prominent figures who served the country.

This indicator is twice as much as the indicator of the same period of 2008, Azerbaijan Labor and Social Protection Ministry said.

Currently, 16, 045 war veterans receive presidential scholarship in Azerbaijan.

Scholarship for war veterans were issued at the presidential decree dated September 9, 2008.
