Azerbaijan’s ecology ministry calls on people to be careful with wild fires

A fire that occurred in private lands and pastures of the Sighirli village of Kurdamir region at about 16.30 on July 20 extended into the forests in the territory of Sabirabad Forestry Office and covered 4.2 ha of forests, press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.
The fire was extinguished completely by the firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local residents on July 21. There were no serious damages on the forestry.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources called on the population to be more careful with a fire and to observe fire security rules due to the hot and dry weather.
