Monitoring on Baku and Absheron beaches suspended due to weather conditions

A monitoring on the beaches, located in Baku and Absheron peninsula has been suspended due to weather conditions, said Ziyaddin Kazimov, chief of sanitary-hygienic department of the Republican center of hygiene and epidemiology at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Health.
He said the monitoring had been suspended since June 5.

"The wind blowing on the Caspian Sea, does not allow to take water samples. On the whole, the monitoring is being held by employees of the Republican Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources", noted Kazimov.

He said the monitoring is held to find out the source of possible pollution of beaches with waste water, assess the level of bacteriological, sanitary-chemical and toxicological pollution of water on the beaches.
