State Veterinary Service says situation with A/H1N1 flu stable in Azerbaijan

Officials of the state veterinary service under Azerbaijan's Agriculture Ministry are holding a monitoring in all pig farms, said spokesman of the state veterinary service under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture Yolchu Khanveli.
He said the monitoring is held for control in connection with the epizootic situation in Azerbaijan.

"A monitoring has been completed today and results will be made public on June 12. Azerbaijan has not recorded a single case of pig flu infection and epizootic situation in connection with this flue remains stable in our country", noted Khanveli.

The spokesman added that the ban to import of animal-derived products from Mexico and USA to Azerbaijan has not yet been lifted.

Notably, the first case of pig flue infection occurred in Mexico.
