Code of Education to be prepared in Azerbaijan

The Law on Education will be discussed in a third reading at a regular session of Milli Medjlis in June, said chairman of the parliamentary committee on issues of science and education Shamseddin Hajiyev, according to the press service for the Yeni Azerbaijan party.
He said after the law was discussed in the second reading, additions were introduced to it and a number of proposals were taken into account.

"The preparation of the draft law "On education" took into account the progressive global experience as today education in Azerbaijan is intensively integrated with the world education system. At the same time the law gives preference to preservation of national values", noted he.

Hajiyev also announced that after the Law "On education" is adopted, due laws will be adopted on all levels of education. After this process completes, Azerbaijan will prepare a Code of Education.
