"The situation in the sphere of workers' rights has started to improve.
The employers became aware that in case they violate rights of employees the they might face inspection workers at any time. And if any violations are revealed, they would have to pay not only fines which we would impose depending on the situation, but also settle problems with an employee", said head of the state labor inspection Nabi Shukurlu.
According to him, most entrepreneurs violate the law due to the lack of knowledge of the labor code, but business should be started from this very issue.
"We do not always impose fines on offenders. First we warn them and if the situation does not change, we take due measures", noted Shukurlu.
He said that mostly owing to these measures the number of problems is declining.
"The fines are not small and this influences the situation.
For example, an employer hiring an employee without a labor contract is imposed a fine of AZN 3000-5000, violation of the right for vacation would cost AZN 2000-3000, hiring foreign employees without the due permission AZN 30000-35000 and so on.
