Nagorno Karabakh Armenians to be fixed in previous numbers during census enumeration in Azerbaijan

As it is impossible to clarify dates, during the census enumeration of Azerbaijan the number of Armenians, residing in Nagorno Karabakh will be fixed as was during the previous census enumeration of 120,000 people, said chairman of the State Statistical Committee Arif Veliyev.
He said as the separatist regime of Nagorno Karabakh does not provide information about population it is difficult to specify the exact number of people, residing there.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens residing abroad will be defined in line with the date, provided by the due bodies of these states.

The chairman noted that currently the population of Azerbaijan makes almost 9 mln people.

Notably, the census enumeration in Azerbaijan starts on April 13 and will last 10 days.
