"Single window" to be applied in management of migration processes in Azerbaijan as from July 1

Under the decree, as from July 1, “single window” principle will be applied in the management of migration processes and the process will be carried out by State Migration Service. State Migration Service is commissioned to give permission to foreigners and stateless persons to live and do paid work in Azerbaijan, give permission for permanent and temporary living, registration etc. State Migration Service is to consider the appeals of stateless persons for temporary living within 20 days and pass a relevant decision.

Under the decree, taking into account internal labor market and work force, the Cabinet of Ministers is to present its proposals to cancel quotas of labor migration, visas granted to foreigners and stateless persons. Relevant normative legal acts are to be conformed with the law.

Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population are to work together with State Migration Service to fulfill the related tasks.
