Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and Italian university Trento sign memo of mutual understanding

The document was signed by rector of the academy, deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Hafiz Pashayev and director of the Trento university doctor Ton Notermans.

"For us it is important to build relations with Azerbaijan as this country is successfully developing in the region. I think the academy will play an important role in the international arena in the future", said Notermans.

He said administration of the Italian high school is waiting impatiently for the further expansion and deepening of relations and hopes for the long-term cooperation with the diplomatic academy. Nomermans featured the cooperation with Azerbaijani diplomatic academy as strategically important.

"Signing of an agreement with the Italian high school creates wider opportunities for implementation of joint projects. The Trento university has a great experience in the educational process on the resolution of conflicts and this is a very important topic for us", said Pashayev.

THe rector highly evaluated the master's program on the resolution of conflicts to be implemented in the diplomatic academy.

The memo of mutual understanding will be valid within 3 years and implies cooperation in different spheres, including student and teacher exchange. Under the attained agreement, Azerbaijani students will be able to study some time at the Trento university and Italian professors will teach at Azerbaijani diplomatic academy.

"This is not the first memo of understanding the academy signed with foreign high schools. Earlier a similar agreement was reached with the Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs, diplomat academies of Croatia and Norway, Geneva security center, UN University of Peace", said head of the external policy programs in the Academy Fariz Ismayilzade.
