One arrested over building blast in Nasimi district of Azerbaijan’s capital

Aliyev Orkhan Rahim living in apartment No60 of the building has been arrested by Nasimi district police. The blast reportedly occurred through his fault. Nasimi district prosecutor’s office launched criminal case on the fact on Article 124 (murder on imprudence) and Article 187 (destruction or damage of property on imprudence) of the Criminal Code.

Blast occurred in apartment No60 of the five-storey building in Javad Khan Street, 30 of Nasimi district in Baku at 16.00 on January 16. It was proved that gas leak caused the blast. 5 were killed and 10 injured in the aftermath of the blast.

Baku prosecutor’s office launched criminal case on the fact on article 314.2 (negligence, causing serious results) of the Criminal Code.
