13 October 2008 [15:10] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani Interior Ministry has passed to the intensive work regime due to the upcoming presidential elections of October 15, reports the Interior Ministry of the country, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.
"This is connected with the due order of Interior Minister Ramil Usubov", said sources from the Ministry Monday.

This work regime will be preserved for several days, reports say.

According to sources, a plan of actions has been prepared to ensure public order on the voting day.

"The law enforcement bodies will try to immediately react to any fact of law offense. The police will be at a certain distance from the constituencies and will be involved only in case of the direct appeal of the representatives of the constituencies, as is fixed in the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan", stressed the sources.
