Request to free Eynulla Fatullayev sent to President of Azerbaijan

Parents of the editor-in-chief of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Eynulla Fatullayev, held in correctional facility No 12, met him, according to journalist's father Emin Fatullayev, Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for reporter freedom and safety.
He said, chairman of the Japanese Association of Journalists Kei Igkhigava sent a letter with a request to free journalist Eynulla Fatullayev to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As for the state of E.Fatullayev's health, his father noted that he feels normal and he has no complaints about the detainment conditions and his treatment by the jail administration.

"He only complains that he is not allowed to read opposition and independent newspapers", concluded Emin Fatullayev.
