Imprisoned journalist of Bizim Yol newspaper shows signs of tuberculosis

He noted that yesterday they met with journalist of Bizim Yol newspaper Mushviq Huseynov.

"As he shows the first signs of tuberculosis, we asked the jail administration to transfer him to the healthcare center for treatment. They did not mind, but the journalist is against being treated", said the human rights activist.

Ganizade noted that if he is not treated in time, it may cause complications", concluded Ganizade.

It should be reminded that on January 21 of 2008, the Court of Grave Crimes sentenced Huseynov to 6 years in prison. Moreover, he is banned from engaging in journalism for two years. Under the decision of the Appellate Court, the court reduced the imprisonment term to five years.

The journalist was arrested by officers of the National Security Ministry on July 24 of the last year. He is charged under article 311.1 (bribery).
