Imprisoned journalist Mirza Sakit files claim against chief of prison No 14

Azadlyg newspaper correspondent Mirza Sakit has filed a claim against chief of correctional ward No 14 Arshad Hasanov, said general director of the newspaper Arshad Hasanov, Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety.

Thus, the cause for the appeal was the reported attempt of murdering journalist Mirza Sakit.

The general director noted that Mirza Sakit had not been transferred to another correctional ward yet.
