Azerbaijan, CE implementing project on stimulation of reforms in penitentiary system

The Council of Europe and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice will hold the first session on the project of "Stimulation of reforms in penitentiary system - 2008-2009", said a source from the CE Baku office.
The project, which will be implemented within two years, is financed by the government of Norway. The project is currently at the initial stage and a session is held to present a work plan and to discuss it.

The aim of the project is to define the need for conduction of reforms in the penitentiary system of Azerbaijan in line with European standards.
