Azerbaijan's Appellate Court receives appeal of journalists on expunging their previous convictions

Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety that the due announcement was made by Rovshan Kabirli.

"Me and Yashar Aghazade were released by the presidential decree of pardon. Though we are now free, the court verdict on the convictions for the term of 2.5 years has not been annulled. To annul them we have appealed to the Yasamal district court but the instance has not granted our claim", noted Kabirli.

The journalist noted that in this connection they have filed a claim to the Baku Appellate Court. The court hearing was scheduled for September 11.
