President of Azerbaijan: "I am greatly satisfied with the participation of our sportsmen in the Olympic Games"

Sources from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan told Day.Az that the head of state voiced his satisfaction with the performance of our sportsmen.

"Azerbaijani sportsmen showed high results in several kinds of sport", noted Ilham Aliyev "I am sure that Azerbaijan could have gained more medals, but it was hampered by a number of subjective factors. Despite it I consider that the Olympic Games were successful for our sportsmen'.

Later Ilham Aliyev presented money reward to all the winners of the Olympic Games, as well as orders, medals and diplomas to the sportsmen and coaches, whose charges excelled at the main sport event.
