President of Azerbaijan attends opening ceremony of Paralympic sport complex in Sumgayit - UPDATED

During the visit to Sumgayit, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev presented orders and keys of flat to disabled, veterans and martyrs families.

According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, a four storeyed and 36 flat residential hoyses was built by the order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

All flats are equipped with furniture, housing technique and other necessary facilities and special doors are set for free entrance of disabled to the building.

Refrigerators and TV sets were presented to the flat owners on behalf of the president.

The head of state cut the red strip, symbolizing the official opening of the complex and familiarized with the building.

Then the President met with the Azerbaijani sportsmen who will take part in the Paralympic games in Beijing and took photos with them.
