27 August 2008 [14:40] - TODAY.AZ
Correspondents of Azadlyg radio station in Nakhchivan Malahat Nasibova and her husband Ilqar Nasibov were subjected to pressure while fulfilling their professional duties, reports Day.Az with reference to Azadlyg radio.
Thus, on August 27 the aforementioned people were beaten by people in a civilian form while covering clashes of the police with Nehram village residents in Nakhchivan.

"We were invited there by village aqsaqals, who faced a problem. Police officers of the Babek region arrived at the Nehram village today and told the residents not to leave the village center.

We met with the residents, took photos and recorded their voices. Then, persons in a civilian form attacked us, took away and broke our microphones, while the police was calmly observing it", said correspondent Malahat Nasibova.

She said her husband Ilqar Nasibov got a face trauma.

"We were abused and prohibited to cover the problems of the village. The situation is bad. I do not know what will happen tomorrow", said Nasibova.

She noted that the cause of the clash between the police and local residents was their violation of a ban to walk in groups (two or three people).

Nehram residents told Azadlyg radio station that as usually they gathered at the Chinese market and the police dispersed them, recommending to sit at home.
