High carbon monoxide concentration expected in Azerbaijan's industrial cities

The department of environmental monitoring of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has released a notification about the expected high level of atmosphere pollution due to weather conditions, which is expected in Azerbaijan from late August 19 until morning of August 22.

According to the press service for the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the level will be moderate in Baku and Sumgayit, intensive concentration of carbon monoxide, 4-nitric oxide, hydrogen-fluoride and chlorine is expected in the air basin of these cities due to meteorological conditions (high temperature, high humidity and no wind).

Therefore, it is not recommended to take children out for a walk in an open air.
