Imprisoned head of Azerbaijan's State Anti-monopoly service attempts suicide

Imprisoned head of the anti-monopoly committee under Azerbaijan's Economic Development Ministry Samir Dadashev has earlier attempted suicide, said an informed source, according to Turan agency.
37-year-old Dadashev attempted to hang himself in the investigation ward of the National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan, where he has been held after the arrest on August 6 of this year. In line with the same source, Dadashev feels bad.

No comments were received from the National Security Ministry, phones of the public relations center of this structure were transfered to fax.

It should be noted that Dadashev and other four officials were arrested in Novkhany settlement, when they were taking a bribe from the local restaurant employees. Most entrepreneurs complained about the anti-monopoly committee, whose officials imposed tributes on all trade points. Moreover, the anti-monopoly committee took bribes from various commercial firms and companies.

It is notable that there is still no official information on the arrest and criminal investigation of this case.
