56 representatives of Azerbaijan to attend the opening ceremony of 29th Summer Olympic Games

The Azerbaijani delegation will comprise 56 people at today's opening ceremony of the 29th summer Olympic Games, said the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sport. Sportsmen, trainers and sport activists will take part in the parade under the leadership of head of our mission Ilham Madarov.

The team, led by standard bearer Farid Mansurov, will enter the Olympic stadium in Beijing under No 111 by the Chinese alphabet.

As is known, the time of the ceremony opening start is connected with the Chinese lucky number 8. Officially the Olympic Games start on the 8th day of the 8th months of 2008 at 08:08 p.m Beijing time (07:08 Baku time).
