Emil Akhundov: "Those responsible for outbreak of sewerage system in Keshla should be brought to responsibility"

08 August 2008 [13:23] - TODAY.AZ
"Those responsible for outbreak of sewerage system in Keshla should be brought to responsibility and their names be made public", said honored constructor of Azerbaijan Emil Akhundov.
It should be noted that an emergency state occurred in Keshla settlement of Baku on July 23, resulting  in the outburst of fecal substances on the surface, flooding a greater part of the residential territory with 50-70 residential houses on it.

According to the constructor, sewerage system, along with a pipeline is a complex multi-functional engineering system.

"All sewerage systems are intended for receipt of rainfall drains, housing wastes, liquid wastes of industrial and other urban enterprises.

But what we have in the reality? Almost all residents of the multi-storied residential houses (over 1500 in Baku), cafes, restaurants, festivity houses, offices and other establishments, where people live and work, are released of fees for draining their sewage to the operating urban sewerage systems. All the aforementioned establishments join urban sewerage systems almost without expansion of their producing capacities".

Emil Akhundov said that owners are bound to coordinate the project with Bakkanalizatsiya for getting technical provisions for their joining the city system.

"As the Baku sewerage system is overloaded by 5-10 times, Bakkanalizatsiya shall give permission depending on the volume of fecal waters, flowing to the system, which is an expensive thing and therefore, the owners would not want to spend money on it", said the constructor.
