Several high ranking officials of the state anti-monopoly service under the Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economic Development arrested.
15:20Day.Az reported with reference to ANS-PRESS that a preventive measure in a form of a three-months arrest was chosen for six high-ranking officials of the State Anti-Monopoly Service under the Economic Development Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The due decision was adopted by the Sabail district court.
According to the family members of the detained persons, they are currently held in the investigation ward of the Ministry of National Security. They are accused of taking bribes from entrepreneurs, working in the country.
The last bribe in the amount of $2,000 was taken from an enterpreneur, which was followed by the arrest of the corrupt officials.
Among the arrested are two officials of the Sumgayit department of the State Anti-Monopoly Service.

14:09According to APA, the operation also resulted in the arrest of deputy director of the service Yalchin Mamedov, head of the sector of competition maintenance Ilham Shahmirzoyev and senior consultant of the said sector Idrak Alekberov.

13:09Samir Dadashov, Director of the State Anti-Monopoly Service under the Ministry of Economic Development, has been arrested, a source in law-enforcements told APA.
He was reportedly arrested while taking bribes. The operation was carried out by the Ministry of National Security. Samir Dadashov is held in the detention facility of the National Security Ministry. Criminal case has been launched on the fact and investigation is underway.
The Ministry of Economic Development has not commented on the fact.
