Ilqar Ibrahimoghlu: "No arguments can breed xenophobic statements, especially from the side of Islam followers"

22 July 2008 [17:03] - TODAY.AZ
"No arguments can breed such xenophobic statements by a person, fulfilling a mission of a clergyman, especially an Islam follower", said imam of Djuma mosque, theologian-philosopher Haji Ilgar Ibrahimoghlu, commenting on the announcement of the head of the Caucasus Muslis Department that "lie and treason is in Armenians blood" in Icheri Sheher.

He said Islam's approach in the said issue is based on humanistic position and says that there are no bad peoples and nations in the world, but there are unworthy representatives among each of them.

"At the same time, there are real patriots of nations, which are aware of the threat of various fascist and xenophobic views, primarily, for one's people and society, which have been infected with it.

The same was registered in the Fascist Germany and present day Armenian society. There is a number of real patriots in the Armenian society who are aware of the anti-humanism of various "specialists on genetics and its role in the joint residence of peoples" such as Kocharyan and speaking against occupation of the Azerbaijani lands", said the Imam.

"I just express hope that the words of the Caucasus Muslims Department were understood incorrectly or he has expressed his thoughts incorrectly and meant a part of Armenians", concluded Ibrahimoghlu.
