US Embassy to Azerbaijan allocates AZN 53,000 for manuscripts institute

The US Embassy to Azerbaijan has allocated a grant of $53,109 for Fizuli manuscripts institute, said the press service for the embassy.
As is reported, the grant was allocated for creation of necessary conditions for storing over 40,000 books in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Uzbek, Persian, Arabian languages on medicine, astronomy, mathematics, poetry, philosophy, law, history, geography, as well as Koran, published in the 15th century.

The grant project will aim at renewal of the conditioning and heating systems, laying of a new electricity line to the storage rooms and manuscripts demonstration halls, establishment of the fire extinguishing system. A screen to demonstrate manuscripts will be installed following the repair.

The grant will be presented by the fund of cultural heritage of the US embassy to Azerbaijan.
