Baku beaches, permitted for swimming, listed

The Republican Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources are periodically monitoring Baku beaches, said deputy director genmeral on sanitary-hygienic issues of the Republic enter of Hygiene and Epidemiology Vagif Abdullayev.

He said the sanitarian monitoring at the Baku beaches has been held since late May and will further continue.

Abdullayev said analysis of water samples taken from the beaches of Pirshaghi, Buzovna, Bilga, Novkhany and Zagulba and others showed normal quality of water.

Abdullayev said after it the Republican center of hygiene and epidemiology will conduct weekly monitoring at the beaches independently.

It should be noted that the beaches of Shuvelan, Mardakan, Shikhov, Sahil, Jorat and Sumgayit coast are banned for swimming.
