Summer seminar "Azerbaijan at the turn of civilizations" to be held by Leyla Aliyeva's initiative

A summer session on "Azerbaijan at the turn of civilizations" will be held in Azerbaijan on July 15-22.
As is reported, the seminar is held by initiative of the Azerbaijan Youth Organization of Russia, led by Leyla Aliyeva.

The organization is intended for formation and strengthening of contacts between Russia and Azerbaijan, unification of young generations of both countries, establishment of closer contacts between the students and development of bilateral friendly relations.

The summer seminar will be attended by students of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations under Russian Foreign Ministry, Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow State University of Lomonosov, Moscow Financial and Legal Academy and other leading high schools of Russia.

In the framework of the seminar Russian students will meet with Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov, deputy Foreign Minister, rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan Hafiz Pashayev, as well as representatives of the Presidential administration of Azerbaijan and leaders of youth movements.

From the Azerbaijani side the seminar will be attended by famous political scientists, representatives of academic circles and public in the sphere of Azerbaijani history. Azerbaijani students will attend round tables and conferences.

The meetings will focus on issues of political and socioeconomic development of the country and main trends of external policy of independent Azerbaijan and inform in details about the modern role of Azerbaijan as a civilized bridge between the East and the West.

The visits to the regions of Azerbaijan of historical and cultural concern, such as Gobustan, Ganja and Sheki, where Russian guests will see unique rock graphics, ancient establishments and Fire-worshippers Temple, famous all over the world, are planned for July 19-21. An excursion for Russian students is planned to Sheki, founded in the 1st millennium BC. Scout towers, fortresses, monasteries, including St.Eliseo's church, which is considered the most ancient Christian establishment in the modern CIS, has preserved in the territory of the medieval memorials.

"Such actions will help strengthen ties between the young people of our countries and expand borders of communication and restore dialogues between two friendly peoples", consider the event organizers.
