Imprisoned editor-in-chief of Azadlyg newspaper files claims against Bail investigation ward

He noted that the claim points the need to return manuscripts of editor-in-chief of the Azadlyg newspaer Ganimat Zahid, held in correctional facility No 17.

"We have sent an appeal to the Penitentiary system of the Justice Ministry about preservation of the manuscripts of the editor-in-chief for sending them to the court", said Hajili.

It should be noted that by information of the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety, chief of Bail investigation ward Misir Aliyev took Zahid's manuscripts under pretense of reading and has not returned them yet.

During the meeting with chief of the ward Zahid's wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva was told that the manuscripts will not be returned as they contain anti-government information, therefore, they intend to compile an act and terminate them.
