Territory of Lenkoran state university under threat of occupation

As is reported, a part of the territory of the Lenkoran State University is under threat of occupation.

The students' corpse of the Lenkoran State University is in the direct proximity to the international airport, this is why the fact that a part of its territory, located on the side of the Lenkoran-Lerik road, has attracted attention of some entrepreneurs.

With the start of airport functioning, the area will be favorable for business-activity and the cost of lands will rise dramatically, while the territory of the state university will be occupied for construction of a trade row.

There was an attempt to occupy almost a hectare of this territory on Sunday, though the university administration reacted negatively. A session was held in the University on Monday at which it was decided to appeal to President Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva.

Today, the teaching staff and some students of the University again gathered in the yard of the educational corps to avert occupation of the area. But there was no new attempt to do it.

It should be noted that most establishments, belonging to ordinary people and locating in direct proximity, have been pulled down and no one ever heard of compensation for the demolished establishments.
