Police releases previously detained Dalgha youth movement activists - PHOTO - UPDATED

The action of the Dalgha youth movement to be held in front of the Baku OSCE representative office at 12:00 today, failed, reports Day.Az with reference to Dalgha youth movement activists.

Sources from the Dalgha movement told Day.Az that the police released previously detained activists of the youth movement, giving them a warning.

As is reported, the action was averted by the police. 7 movement activists were detained among which there are Vafa Jafarova, Rovshan Najafov, Araz Qasimov, Leyla Aliyeva, Orkhan Nabiyev, Panakh Aliyev, Anar Askerov and three journalists. There were brought to 39th police station.

In some time, the detained journalists (representatives of Azadlyg radio and Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety) were released, while Dalgha movement activists are still in the police station.

It should be noted that Dalgha youth movement considering that human rights and press freedom are violated in Azerbaijan decided to hold a protest action.
