Azerbaijani ombudsman appeals to Internal Ministry due to violations in Absheron region police department

Representatives of Azerbaijani ombudsman's office held a monitoring in the police departments and temporary detainment wards of some regions of Baku, said the press service for the ombudsman's office.
As is reported, the monitoring was held in the 10th and 38th police departments of Qaradagh, 4th and 40th Binagadi police stations, 29th Yasamal district police station, 31st and 33rd Surakhany district police stations, 37th Khatai district police stations, 14th and 15th Sabunchi district police stations, 2nd Azizbeyov district police station, 1,2,3 and 4th Sumgayit police stations as well as temporary isolation wards of Khatai district police stations and Absheron police station.

The representatives of Ombudsman's office familiarized with the registration books of the detained persons and with the due documents.

During the inspections in the Absheron police stations a number of violations, related to detainment conditions, have been revealed.

In this connection, ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova has appealed to the Azerbaijan Internal Ministry.
