Several Azerbaijani journalists appeal to European Court against Azerbaijani judges

A group of journalists, who were not permitted to attend the court trial on the case of former Health Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Insanov in 2007, have sent an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety that the due announcement was made by chairman of the Lawyers Forum Intiqam Aliyev,

According to Aliyev, the appeal says that local court instances declined their claim regarding their not been permitted to attend the court trial.

Thus, Elshad Mamedli (Yeni Musavat), Elshan Mamedaliyev (Gundelik Azerbaijan), Tarana Kazimova (Turan news agency), Fikret Huseynli (Azadlyg), Haji Zeynalov (Ayna-Zerkalo), Vazekh Mehtiyev (Baki-Kheber), Ramiz Najafli (independent journalist), Sabuhi Nasibov (Zerkalo) filed a claim against the court of grave crimes and judges of this instance (Faiq Qasimov, Azer Orujev, Hasan Ahmedov) and against court controllers and bailiffs department of the Justice Ministry due to violation of articles 6, 10 and 14 of the European Convention of Human Rights.
