Aflatun Amashov re-elected Chairman of Azerbaijan's Council for Press

The board and control and revision commission of the council was formed by way of voting.

The board included Aflatun Amashev, editor-in-chief of Ayna-Zerkalo newspaper Elchin Shikhli, editor-in-chief of the 525th newspaper Rashad Mejid, editor-in-chief of Azerbaijan newspaper Bakhtiyar Sadikhov, editor-in-chief of Iki Sahil newspaper Vuqar Rahimzade, general director of APA news agency Vusala Mahirqizi, editor-in-chief of Turan news agency Mehman Aliyev, Umid Mirzoyev, Tapdiq Abbas, as well as representatives of the community- Vuqar Safarli, Kamal Abdulla, Hajisabir Hasanly, Agil Abbas, Mushviq Aleskerli and Jamil Hasanli.

The session participants also adopted a resolution which particularly states the need for strengthening social rights ofjournalists, material and technical basis of mass media, contains decision to allocate lands for construction of residences for mass media representatives. In this connection , the session participants intend to appeal to the country's leadership with request to create necessary conditions for it.
