Police officer killed in an armed clash in Baku

Officers of the Surakhani District Police Office carried out operations in the territory to detain Seymur Aliyev, accused of the carjacking and illegal bearing of arms, and faced armed resistance of the criminal, who decamped in the house of his uncle Ismail Mammadov.

He fired on the police officers with five-charge rifle. As a result of the clash field investigator of the Surakhani District Police Office Ramin Zamanov, 31 was wounded and died in the hospital.

After the several-minute shooting officers of the Surakhani District Police Office came to their help.

Seymur Aliyev attempted to escape from the spot, but policemen managed to detain him.

Criminal case has been launched and investigation is going on.
