Representatives of US-Azeri Council meet with candidate for US Senate - PHOTO

On May 25 representatives of the US-Azeri council (Texas) Yusif Babanly and Ayten Aliyeva met with candidate for the US Senate from the Kansas state Jim Slatterey.
Day.Az reports that during the meeting vice-president of the US-Azeri council Yusif Babanly informed Mr.Slattery about the activity of the council in California and Texas and the growing activeness of the US Azeris community with commencement of the operation of the US Azeris Network.

As is reported, the event on the campaign of the future Senator, was arranged by the Turkish Coalition of America from the Washington city and Turkish Political Actions Committee of Houston.

It should be noted that candidate to Senate from Kansas, Jim Slatterey, representative of the democratic party, has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1982 until 1884. Within the past years, Slatterey has been active in promoting issues regarding Turkey and US-Turkey relations. After becoming member of the US Senate, Jim Slatterey promises to be more active in promoting Azerbaijani and Turkish issues.
